Youth and Gender initiatives aim to ensure that young people, women, and other marginalized groups are active participants and leaders in environmental and climate-related actions. GAO provides leadership training, mentorship programs, and skills development opportunities that prepare youth and women to take part in decision-making processes. This sector addresses gender inequalities and generational gaps by ensuring equitable access to resources, opportunities, and information. Special attention is given to promoting women-led green businesses, supporting female farmers, and encouraging young leaders to take ownership of environmental projects in their communities. In doing so, GAO strengthens social equity while advancing climate justice.
